Masonic Villages at Sewickley is hiring a Maintenance Mechanic. This is a Flexible Part Time Day opportunity that includes benefits.

What You'll Do:

As a Maintenance Mechanic, you will carry out our Mission of Love by performing a variety of electrical, mechanical, heating, ventilation, air conditioning, refrigeration, plumbing, carpentry, general maintenance and preventative maintenance jobs including all facets of maintenance and new construction.

Our Maintenance Mechanics are responsible for the following:

  • Maintains, troubleshoots, repairs and evaluates all equipment including heating ventilation, air conditioning, refrigeration, mechanical and electrical equipment as well as plumbing systems. Assists in the installation and major repair of equipment.
  • Itemizes, estimates and prepares requisition materials for jobs accurately and in accordance with Masonic Villages procedures.
  • Performs preventative maintenance on all equipment including testing and maintaining emergency generators.
  • Accesses, understands and utilizes the energy management computer system.
  • Maintains professional growth and development by attending educational, technical and training programs, seminars and courses.
  • Maintains work areas in the field and in the shop in an orderly and clean manner, maintaining a safe work place. Performs tasks in a safe manner.  Ensures the proper care and use of tools and equipment.
  • Accept call duty as scheduled including meeting requirements for being available to accept switchboard calls and to respond to make repair or provide help as necessary.

What You Definitely Have:

  • High school graduate or equivalent
  • Three years working experience.
  • Vocational or technical school training is beneficial
  • Any equivalent combination of experience, training or education.
  • Valid Pennsylvania driver's license.
  • Good written, oral, organizational, and basic computer skills.
