Masonic Villages at Sewickley is hiring a Dining Room Supervisor Retirement Living. This is a Full Time Day and Evening opportunity.

What You'll Do:

As a Dining Room Supervisor Retirement Living, you will carry out our Mission of Love by Assisting the Dining Room Manager in supervising and coordinating the activities of the RL Dining Rooms.  Attend trainings to build understanding and capacity to undertake QAPI work.  Look for and share with leadership ideas for improvement in the organization. Our Dining Room Supervisor Retirement Living is responsible for the following:


  • From 11:30am 1pm M-S, from 4pm 6:30pm M - S and Sunday 11am 1pm, Maintains prompt and courteous service from the Main Entrance Host station.
  • Sets up special meals and events. Takes directives from customer and DRM.
  • Assures the proper cleanliness and maintenance of the dining rooms and equipment. Generates work requests for equipment.  Creates extra cleaning schedules for staff when appropriate.
  • Processes bi-weekly schedule. During dining hours, covers positions that may be vacated by call off's or schedule gaps.
  • Training of the trainers. Orients the trainers to assure new hires are prepared in procedures essential to perform all jobs for service. 
  • Prepares order for Pub, office and dining room supplies to include staff uniforms
  • Maintains and reconciles record of meals served to residents and guests. Review and maintain accurate records for accounts and payments.
  • Operates computer, POS in preparing menu/pricing, reports for distribution and data tracking through spreadsheets.
  • Holds daily production meetings with all servers on duty. Reviews the day's menu and extra assignments.  Time is TBD depending on work flow.
  • Mush have working knowledge of Dining Room Manager position specific responsibilities required to perform duties in his/her absence.


What You Definitely Have:

  • A high school or college graduate or equivalent thereof.
  • At least 2 years' experience as a server in upscale dining environment and one year of experience in front of the house supervision..
  • Good written and oral communication and proficient with computer applications.
  • CPR certification required (prior to or upon employment).
  • Any equivalent combination of training and experience.
