Masonic Villages at Sewickley is hiring a Housekeeper/Laundry Worker. This is a Part Time, Day opportunity.

What You'll Do:

As a Housekeeper/Laundry Worker, you will carry out our Mission of Love by providing the best quality environmental housekeeping service through continuous training and to maintain a clean, healthy, and safe environment and to provide the best quality laundry service through continuous training, to maintain a sufficient supply of linens and clothing to the residents. 

Our Housekeeper/Laundry Workers are responsible for the following:

  • Performs daily scheduled housekeeping duties in all rooms and common areas as designed by the Environmental Service Director and Supervisor. 

  • Assist in cleaning employee service areas including but not limited to locker rooms, bathrooms and staff lounge.

  • Pick up trash in designated areas.

  • Insure equipment is maintained in a clean and operable condition.

  • Maintain all carpeted floors and assist in mopping, stripping, and refinishing floors when assigned.

  • Performs weekly, monthly, and annual scheduled housekeeping duties as and designed by the Environmental Service Director and Supervisor.

  • Assist in setup and breakdown of chairs, tables, etc. for special occasions.

  • Collect, sort and weigh soiled laundry, linen, garments and place in proper containers.

  • Rinse laundry/linens and garments when needed.

  • Wash soiled laundry/linens and garments according to established procedures and on proper cycles.

  • Hand and/or fold personal laundry neatly.

  • Return residents' personal laundry to proper room in a timely manner.

  • Dry laundry/linens and garments on proper drying temperatures.

  • Remove from service stained and worn linens.

  • Stock floors with adequate supply of linen.

What You Definitely Have:

  •  A high school graduate or equivalent preferred.

  • Will receive on-the-job training.

  • Any equivalent combination of experience and training preferred

  • Good written, oral, organizational, and basic computer skills.
